Protect your property

You've probably heard the term CORGI registered before? The Gas Safe registration scheme replaced this and makes it quick and easy to see who's coming into your property. As with anyone you're letting into your home. we always recommend you ask to see our ID. If you have a look on the back, it'll show you all the appliances that we can work on including boilers, gas fires and cookers. Remember, this scheme is designed to keep you safe, so no ID, no entry.

Boilers and central heating - we'll leave copies of all the paperwork, confirming the date and the details of what we've had a look at
Gas outlets - if there are any that you're not using, we can get these capped off. If you'd like to remove them permanently, we can advise you on the process

Landlord Safety Certificates

If you rent your property, it's your responsibility to ensure that all the gas appliances are safe and working properly. At Derek Powell, we'll carry out a full check and make sure everything's ready for the new tenants to move in. Please be aware, you need to give them the paperwork within 28 days of them moving in or within 28 days of the previous certificate expiring. Once everything's signed off as safe, we'll give you a copy of the CP-12 safety certificate which is valid for 12 months. Get in touch to find out more.
